The Beer Blog: Samuel Adam’s White Christmas

In the beer world, there are beers you can pound and there are beers that you savor – Samuel Adams and its seasonal varieties are of the latter variety.  The Four State Food Critic recently sat down to watch “White Christmas” on AMC and popped open a bottle of Samuel Adam’s White Christmas beer.

As I mentioned, Samuel Adams White Christmas is just one of the many fantastic seasonal brews put out by the Samuel Adams brewery.  It’s their unfiltered white ale flavored with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and orange peel. A crisp beer to leisurely enjoy, one or two of these goes a long way towards making the season merry.

If you’re into food pairings, this beer goes great with artichoke and cheese dip, potato soup, or roasted turkey.  It averages around $9 for a six-pack of bottles at your local liquor store, or look for a nice Samuel Adams variety pack and try several of their fine winter seasonal brews.
